So what’s the difference between a gathering and a class?

A gathering is a home “party”–the consultant (that would be me) walks you and your friends through the current Idea Books, gets you used to CTMH terminology, shows you many of the tools and supplies that are available, and describes any special programs and deals that are currently running. Then we would make something fairly simple–usually a card of the host’s choice…birthday, thank-you, graduation, whatever. Something like these, perhaps:

If you and your guests decide to order items from the Idea Book, that’s when the Hostess Rewards program kicks in:

The gathering often concludes with some refreshments.

Classes

But suppose you and your friends are not newbies to papercrafting and you just want to launch right into making something a little more challenging. That’s when a class could be arranged. In fact, I would love to set up a regular schedule of cardmaking and scrapbooking classes–$15 for 5 cards, maybe something like these:

$15 for 4 scrapbook pages (2 layouts), perhaps like this:

You supply your own favorite adhesive and scissors, I supply the rest. People sign up as it fits their schedule. I could have special classes, such as making home decor items:

…kids’ workshops, holiday workshops, specialty items like a “shaker” card or s-hoop-er way to showcase a special photo:
